Shakespeare shaped modern lives in many ways:
- He introduced new words and phrases that are still used to this day (e.g. primrose path and all's well that ends well). Whilst his language can feel outdated, he was quite daring and was forward thinking for his time.
- He enriched the english language immensely with his unimaginable situations and events.
- Modern plays and books are written with multiple genres thanks to Shakespeares multi-genre works (fcomedy in tragedy, tragedy in comedy, etc).
- His plays have endured and have been enjoyed for centuries. This is not because of his fame, but because the audience feel the characters are vivid and alive. His plays are timeless as proven by their themes coming up again and again in modern literature, film and in theatre.
